Arraial do Cabo - Rio de Janeiro - Brazilian Cities

In Arraial do Cabo, the visitor will find white-sand beaches of crystal-clear water, dunes, reefs, ecological reserves, preserved Atlantic Forest, six-thousand-year-old sambaquis (hills made of shells and other items from pre-historic inhabitants) and one of the most appropriate regions for fishing in the planet. The local people are welcoming and friendly, their hospitality will make your stay an unforgettable moment.

Arraial do Cabo

Arraial do Cabo was formed as a result of the connection to remote islands caused by the wind and sea current action, which took thousands of years. It’s like a fishermen’s village, called by the local people as the “Paradise of the Atlantic Ocean” for its fantastic views. The short distance to the City of Rio de Janeiro and other beautiful places, such as Armação de Búzios, Cabo Frio, Saquarema, Araruama and São Pedro da Aldeia, is an excellent invitation to tourism.

At a distance of 140 km from the State’s capital, Arraial do Cabo is located in the center of an important tour area. Few places offer so many alternatives to the visitor, from paradisaical beaches to hikes through the exuberant vegetation of the Atlantic Forest. And the best of all: a perfect infrastructure prepared to welcome all types of visitor.

Arraial is noted for being one of the best places in the country for the practice of diving, with transparent waters and several species of sea life. The main points to practice diving are: Ilha dos Porcos, Ponta D’Água, Saco do Cordeiro and shipwrecked Thetis.
